In this video we walk along Maly Prospekt in St. Petersburg (Russia), Aptekarsky Island. Our walk will start from the Petrogradskaya metro station, Kamennoostrovsky Prospekt and end at Zhdanovskaya Embankment. The length of the route is 2 km. On the way of our walk, we will go into old houses, cafes, shops, examine old courtyards - wells. Our walk will begin at 9 am on Sunday 31st January. We will walk for 50 minutes. Turn on subtitles, although you won't find anything interesting in them. It's just a pointless walk!
In 1714, Emperor Peter I transferred this territory
in the possession of the Medical Office and the General Pharmacy.
For a long time, there were no buildings on Aptekarsky Island. Construction began only at the end of the 19th century. The houses are mainly made in the Art Nouveau and Neoclassical style.
